Jake finished his drum parts in two days which consisted of approx. 7 hours of work. While recording the second day, we kept hearing an electronic hum in the background. We couldn’t figure it out. First we turned off the camera. Hum still present. Then, we tried each drum mic separately. No luck. After scratching our heads for a while, we noticed there was a USB cord plugged in, which wasn’t plugged in the night before. We unplugged it, and voila, the hum was gone! One-Take-Jake re-recorded 4 songs in less than an hour! The drum tracks sound very clear and very well balanced. We’re excited to show you!
Greg and Branden got together a few days ago to record some auxiliary percussion and guitar. We got some of the snaps and claps in, as well as some great guitar backing tracks and lead lines for “She Knew To Go” and “My Six String”. Today, Sam, Greg, Derrick, and Branden got together, for about 6 hours, to record some vox (that’s how us recording musician’s say “vocals”), some keyboard lines, and guitar lines for “Again”, “Don’t Tell The Teacher” (yes, we’re finally recording it), “Younger Version of Me”, and “On The Phone”.
Things are coming together very nicely, and we hope to have the new cd out of our hands and into your heads ASAP. Stay tuned.
